The set pairs pressed felt bills and coins with cardstock flashcards and a wallet, and it fits a toy cash register for store games at home or in a homeschool lesson.

What's in the box

Felt dollar bills, 2 x 4 inches each

Felt coins, 1 inch each

Cardstock flashcards, 2 x 3 inches

Wallet for storing the money

How kids learn with it

Set up a pretend shop with paper tags on a few toys. Your child picks an item, counts out felt bills and hands them over. You make change from the coins, and they check your math. Adding and subtracting feels like a game when there is a teddy bear to buy.

Felt has a big advantage over plastic coins. It makes no clatter when a toddler dumps the whole wallet on the floor. Parents of light sleepers will appreciate the quiet.

The flashcards help with matching. Lay a card down and ask your child to find the bill or coin it shows. Once they know each value, mix several pieces and have them total the pile. Older preschoolers can sort coins by worth or play banker for siblings.

The bill size suits most toy registers and small wallets. Keep everything in the wallet after play, and the set packs into a backpack for a classroom visit or a trip.

Specifications

Brand: Good Ground

Bill size: 2 x 4 inches

Coin size: 1 inch

Flashcard size: 2 x 3 inches

Material: pressed felt bills and coins, cardstock cards

Style: Montessori pretend play counting set

Explore more pretend play and early math toys at Big Frenchies.

https://www.bigfrenchies.com/products/good-ground-pretend-play-kids-felt-money-educational-b08fxyl998
