How It All Started
Big Frenchies started as a conversation between coworkers a few years ago about creating a sister t-shirt company of Petite Demon, the French brand and brain child of Eric Lameule. Fast forward to 2020 and among a global pandemic, four friends from all walks of life, Eric included, brought Big Frenchies to life.
After a series of undiagnosed health issues and a bout of Covid-19, we very unexpectedly lost Eric, only 38 years old, on March 17th, 2021. Without Eric, we really didn’t know how we could continue. He was the leader of the pack, the t-shirt designer extraordinaire, the one who was always coming into our meetings with a smile and a million ideas. It was difficult for us to imagine this company without him, but his wife Melanie has joined us in his place, and he lives on in each new product we create.
Everything we do and every product we sell is in remembrance of him. Thank you for helping contribute to his lifelong dream of bringing his t-shirt designs to the US!

We are a family company - our products are imagined and created by families, for families and we believe that family time should be fun! Unfortunately, most sustainlable clothing brands make designs that are boring, which leads to a decrease in SPFT (Smiles Per Family Time) rate. That's why we carefully engineer our unique designs in our secret Paris laboratory and test them on the most unhappy families before approval. We want to make sustainable clothing fun because the best way to start a conversation is by sharing a smile. And our planet more than ever needs more conversations and more smiles, as much as it needs a green and sustainable future.
