Pre-painted Race Body
The Ford GT40 MKIV, originating from tragedy in 1966, saw only ten models produced, half of which raced, yet it became renowned for its record-breaking performances at Sebring and Le Mans. Meticulously designed for endurance and speed, the MKIV was entirely crafted in the United States, featuring unique innovations like the NASCAR-style roll cage. Among these iconic cars, the red MKIV #1 stood out, built on the J5 Chassis with notable modifications to accommodate its tall driver, Dan Gurney, including the iconic "Gurney Bubble" roof. Despite its considerable weight and challenges during practice, the red #1 MKIV, driven by A.J. Foyt and Dan Gurney, dominated the 1967 Le Mans race, leading within the first 90 minutes and finishing four laps ahead of its closest competitor, marking an unparalleled all-American victory in Le Mans history.
