How you build with it
Every piece is cut from a single block of hardwood with the peg and socket shaped into the wood itself. That matters for two reasons. Loose plastic pegs are the first part to go missing from a train set, and they are a choking risk for a younger sibling. Here there is nothing to pull out. Pieces press together by hand and hold until a child takes them apart again.
The bump track puts a rise in the line so a train rocks as it rolls over, and the crossing bridge lets one track pass over another, which turns a flat oval into a figure eight or a two-level layout. Mix the 11 pieces into an existing set from any major brand, or use them as the backbone of a new one and add vehicles, figures and signs over time.
Wipe the wood with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Keep it out of the bath and away from radiators so the pieces stay true. A layout built from solid beech lasts long enough to pass to the next child in the house.
