The Silly Puppets ventriloquist mouse puppet is a 25 inch full-body character with sneakers, a moving mouth and an arm rod for gestures. Design and build
Full-body puppets have legs and feet, so this mouse can sit on your knee or a stool like a classic ventriloquist dummy. The sneakers dangle when it sits and add to the character. A hand entry in the back keeps your arm hidden from the audience, and the mouth moves with little effort, which lets you focus on the voice. One arm control rod clips to either hand, so a left-handed performer works it as easily as a right-handed one.
The puppet weighs just over a pound, light enough for a child to hold up through a whole show. Its shirt comes off, and it is sized at 18 months, so you can swap in any toddler tee to match a holiday, a team or a story. Care
Spot clean the ventriloquist mouse puppet with a damp cloth and mild soap, and let it air dry. Wash the removable shirt separately. Store the puppet sitting up or hanging so it keeps its shape. Practice in front of a mirror to match the mouth to your words, then add the arm rod once the lip sync feels steady.
