Details
JUNEBRUSHS scratch art bookmarks turn a classroom craft hour into 30 finished bookmarks. Kids scrape away the black coating to reveal hidden rainbow patterns, then tie on a colored rope, so each child walks away with something useful for reading or gifting.
What's in the box
- 30 scratch art bookmarks, 15 x 5 cm (6 x 2 inch)
- 30 colored satin ropes
- 12 bamboo scratch sticks
How the scratch art works
Each bookmark pairs a rainbow design with a black matte coating on top. Kids scrape the coating with a bamboo stick, and bright rainbow color shows through wherever they scratch. Choose a style to fit the season or the occasion: Back to School, Ocean, Spring, Religious, or a holiday style such as Diwali, Passover, Purim, Ramadan or Rosh Hashanah.
When the art is done, thread a rope through the small hole at the top. You can hang the finished pieces on bags, keys, gift bags, windows or a tree, or tuck them into goodie bags for a party. Teachers use them as school activity projects and classroom rewards, and they also work as gift tags. The cardboard is durable and not easy to break, so a finished bookmark holds up between the pages of a favorite book.
