Why a kids jump rope set works for groups

How do you size a jump rope for a child?
Have your child stand on the middle of the rope with both feet. Pull the handles straight up along the body. For a beginner, the handle tops should reach about the armpits. If the rope runs long, open the handle, slide the knot inside along the rope to shorten it and tie it off again. Cut the extra only after a few test jumps. A rope that is too long drags on the ground, and one that is too short catches the feet. Store the ropes loosely coiled in a bin so they do not tangle before recess.
