Details
An inflatable dinosaur sprinkler turns a garden hose into a backyard water park, and the BANZAI T-Rex Terror Mondo is the big one: 96 inches long, 80 inches wide and 6.6 feet tall. Hook up the hose and the T-Rex sprinkles water over kids as they run past. Families with a lawn and a hot afternoon get play with no pool to fill.

Why kids run back for more
A plain lawn sprinkler sprays the same arc all afternoon. A dinosaur taller than most grown-ups gives a group of five-year-olds a target to circle, dodge and chase. BANZAI sums up the idea as tiny hands and big sprinkles, and that is how it plays: small kids get soaked and come back for another lap. Older siblings invent rules about who gets caught by the T-Rex. Set it on the lawn and the grass gets a drink at the same time.
Birthday parties in July, a block party on a hot Saturday or a quiet afternoon with two kids and a popsicle all work. You can move it to a new spot each week so one patch of grass does not turn to mud. Grandparents with a yard keep one in the garage for summer visits.
How you set it up
Unroll the T-Rex on a flat patch of grass away from fences and patio furniture. Inflate it, connect your garden hose and turn the water on. Adjust the flow at the spigot to change how much water comes out. When the day ends, shut off the water, let the PVC dry in the sun and fold it before storage. Check for punctures from sticks each time you unpack it, and store it indoors over winter.
