The Cannon Sports 8.5 inch playground ball is the rubber ball kids use for kickball, four square, handball and dodgeball at recess. A two-ply rubber cover handles blacktop, grass and gym floors, and a textured surface helps small hands catch and throw. Schools, camps and families with a driveway game all get plenty of use from it.

Built for recess games
This 8.5 inch ball is made for four square and kickball, for kicking on the run or bouncing into the next square. The textured grip keeps the ball from slipping out of a hand during a fast handball rally,.
Inside, a natural rubber bladder holds air and keeps the round shape. Outside, the two-ply rubber cover is made for use anywhere. Four colors let a PE teacher sort balls by class or by station, or let siblings each claim their own.
Kids take it to the park for dodgeball, to the cul-de-sac for kickball with neighbors, and to the backyard for a game of catch. Coaches use it for warm-ups, and summer camps keep a bin of them for free play.
Inflation and care
Your ball arrives flat, so fill it with a hand or electric pump and a standard needle before the first game. Inflate until it feels firm. Check the pressure every couple of weeks during heavy use. Wipe off mud with a damp cloth and store the ball indoors, out of direct sun, to keep the rubber from drying out.
