How you use them
Wind the toy a few turns, set the toy on a hard flat surface and let go. Movements differ by figure, so kids line several up and race them or guess which one will flip first. A kitchen table or hardwood floor gives the best action; carpet slows them down. Hand one to each guest at a Halloween party, tuck them into treat bags in place of a second candy bar or use them as school rewards through October.
At under 2.5 inches tall the toys weigh almost nothing and fit a lunch box or a coat pocket. Christmas and New Year parties use the same creatures for a silly race between courses. Because the clockwork is inside a plastic shell, there are no batteries to replace and nothing to charge. Each figure is plastic, lightweight and sturdy.
Sorting the 16 figures by type is a small game on its own. Keep a few for the adults; a creature that flips across the counter during a dinner party gets a laugh.
