The HALOGATE Thanksgiving felt craft kit hangs a large felt turkey on the wall and hands kids 34 pieces to dress it. Leaves, apples, squirrels and pine cones press onto the tail with hook-and-loop backing, come off and go back on as many times as they like. It suits classrooms and family rooms through the fall season.

How you use it
Hang the turkey by its lanyard on a door or a low wall where children can reach the tail. Spread the ornaments on the floor and let kids build a pattern, count the leaves by color or tell a story about the squirrel gathering food for winter. Teachers can turn it into a group activity, with each student adding a piece and naming it.
The turkey wears a tall hat and holds a pumpkin, and the 2mm felt is soft to the touch. Leave the finished design up as Thanksgiving decor, then strip it bare and start over the next day. The same set adds color to a kid's bedroom or a classroom bulletin board.
