Why the spin matters
A standard seesaw gives one motion. Add rotation and the ride becomes a game of steering, with kids pushing off the ground to swing the whole beam around. Two riders learn to work together as they take turns pushing off. That is balance, coordination and a bit of teamwork wrapped in something they ask to do again. Soft foam handle guards protect little hands and give a secure grip.
Four legs give the seesaw a stable base. It works in a playroom as well as a backyard, so play can move indoors when the weather turns. The materials are built for weather, so the seesaw can live on the lawn through a summer.
Setup and care
Assembly is simple, so play can start almost right away. Set it on grass or a rubber mat and check that all four legs sit level. Hose off dirt and wipe the foam guards with a damp cloth. Check the frame before each season and tighten anything that has worked loose. A quick look at the foam guards tells you when they need a wipe. In winter, store it in a garage or shed. Teach riders to hold the grips the whole way around, and keep the area beside the seesaw clear so the spin has room.
