Details
Canasta cards with point values printed on each card take the scorekeeping argument out of game night. GSE Games and Sports Expert packs six blue decks in poker size, coats them in plastic for long life and adds rule sheets for canasta and hand and foot. Families who play rummy-style games, retirement groups and card clubs that need multiple decks will put this set to work.
What's in the box
- 6 decks of blue canasta cards
- Canasta game rules
- Hand and foot game rules
- Other options: 2-deck sets, red sets, mixed blue and red sets, or score sheets
How you use them
Canasta belongs to the rummy family and was the most played card game in America in the early 1950s. Partners meld sets of equal rank and try to build canastas of seven cards. Each card in this set carries its printed point value, and wild cards are highlighted, so a new player can count a hand without a cheat sheet. Hand and foot uses several decks at once, which is why six come in the box.
Nothing stops you from dealing these decks for poker, spades, hearts, go fish or slap jack. Blue-core paper stock resists bending and folding, and the plastic coating adds durability.
Teaching a grandchild the family game goes faster when the point values are printed on the cards; the child reads the number instead of memorizing a chart. Choose the mixed blue and red set if your group likes to tell two shuffled decks apart at a glance.
