How you play
Hold the ken, let the ball hang, then bend your knees and lift so the ball swings up and lands in a cup. Work through the three cups one at a time. Each catch asks for a little more control, and you feel the improvement day by day.
Weight matters on a kendama, and this one has enough heft in the ken to swing through tricks without feeling floaty. The clear coat over the paint keeps the ball from chipping when it misses and hits the floor. The tether holds the ball to the ken so a wild swing does not send it across the room.
