The KNACKTOYZ remote control crane toy gives kids ages 4 to 8 a working tower crane they can drive from up to 100 feet away. Six channels move the hook, the trolley and the tower, and a child can lift light loads and set them down like a site operator.

What the RC crane can do
Kids raise and lower the hook, slide the trolley back and forth along the arm, and swing the tower left or right. Since the console rotates 680 degrees, the arm sweeps past a full circle before it stops. A 1 pound load limit suits blocks, small toy cars and stuffed animals.
Lights and sound effects run while the crane works, and the remote is built to resist interference.
Setting up and charging
Start at the lowest height of 28.8 inches for younger children, then raise the tower to 39.4 or 50.4 inches as they gain confidence. Two rechargeable batteries and a USB charger come with the crane, so you can charge it anywhere. Put 2 AA batteries in the remote before the first session, since those are not in the box.
