Heng Long's Henschel-turret King Tiger arrives with a steel gear gearbox, metal tracks and sprockets, a turret that turns a full 360° and a 3800mAh battery. Hobbyists get a scale model with upgraded metal parts.

What the upgrades change
Steel gears are more wear-resistant than a stock gearbox, which extends its service life. Metal tracks, sprocket wheels and idler wheels replace the stock running gear. The 360° turret is a hand-fitted modification: slip rings carry power through the turret ring so you can spin it in either direction without a cable stop. A 3800mAh high power NiMH pack replaces the factory battery.
How you run it
A turret that turns through a full circle lets you aim at a target on any side of the hull. The sound box adds engine and cannon effects while you drive. Keep a spare charged pack on hand if you plan an afternoon event.
Charge the NiMH pack fully before the first drive and bind the 2.4GHz transmitter. Start on a hard floor to learn throttle and steering, then move to a lawn. Rotate the turret slowly at first to feel the slip ring travel. After each outdoor session, brush dirt from the tracks and sprockets and check that no stones are lodged between links. Note that the turret, battery and sound box are workshop modifications, not factory configuration, so treat them with the care you would give any hand-built upgrade.
