How a child works with it
You and your child pick a blueprint, set up the machine the project calls for, and cut the pieces from the wood in the box. Softwoods and cardboard boxes are the right materials. Switching between the four machines shows how each tool does a different job. Goggles go on first every time.
Children shape their own parts and then fit them together, which shows how a sketch turns into an object they can hold. The 12V supply and child-safe moving parts keep the process safe for a kindergartner while still feeling like real woodworking. Parents often end up building alongside. The set includes everything needed to get started, from wood and blueprints to goggles and tools, so the first project can begin the day the box opens.
The Cool Tool makes PLAYMAKE in Austria and tests it against the toy standard on an ongoing basis. Once the starter wood runs out, scrap softwood and cardboard boxes from around the house keep the kids woodworking kit busy. Set up on a table with good light and a clear floor, and keep a small brush nearby for sawdust.

You have 14 days from delivery to request a return or exchange for most products shipped within the United States.* Exclusions apply.

- Custom and handmade items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, as they are crafted specifically to order.
- Returns are only available for US orders. International orders are final sale.
- For health and safety reasons, personal care items (like baby creams, shampoos, balms, sunscreens, and lotions) and food products cannot be returned once opened.
- Jewelry and watches are not returnable.
Restocking fee: a 10% restocking fee is deducted from your refund on change-of-mind returns. There is no fee if the item is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered.
