How the trucks play
Pull a truck backward on a hard floor, hold it for a second and let go. It takes off across the room under its own power. With twelve vehicles, your child can line up a race at the starting tape and stage a pileup at the finish line.
Each type gets its own job on a carpet construction site. The excavator digs, the dump truck hauls and the tractor tows the rest. Set up a ramp from a book or a board and test which truck rolls farthest. At about 2.2 inches, the trucks fit in a pocket for restaurants, car rides and waiting rooms. Funcorn Toys makes them from sturdy, lightweight plastic. They also suggest the set for birthday party favors, Easter egg fillers and Christmas stockings. Twelve in one set can cover a small party table without buying several packs. Pretend play with vehicles also gives preschoolers a chance to invent stories and build roads out of blocks.
