Details

The Crohorizon foam RC airplane is built for kids and adults learning to fly remote control planes. A six-axis gyroscope keeps flight steady, and flexible EPP foam with a collapsible rubber nose absorbs the bumps that come with beginner landings.

Specifications

  • Material: flexible EPP foam
  • Stabilization: built-in six-axis gyroscope
  • Batteries: 2 x 3.7V 250mAh rechargeable (3-battery options available)
  • Flight time: about 10-15 minutes per battery
  • Control range: up to 400 ft
  • Extras: lights for dusk flying, collapsible rubber nose
  • Colors: Blue, Red, Yellow, Bright Yellow

Why this RC airplane suits beginners

The gyro keeps flight stable, so new pilots spend more time flying and less time chasing the plane. You can take off from a smooth surface or launch by hand, the same way you would toss a paper plane. Lights on the plane help you follow it at dusk. When the nose does hit the ground, the rubber tip folds to soften the impact.

Where to fly

Choose a wide, open space such as a soccer field, a baseball field or a large yard. Charge both batteries before you head out and swap them between flights. The plane goes together without much effort, which makes it a fun gift for birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mother's Day or Father's Day.
