Why kids love a double lane slide
Two lanes mean two riders at once, so kids race each other and the line moves faster at a party. The extra-long, extra-wide run gives kids plenty of room to slide. Bright colors make the lawn look like a summer water park.
Inflatable side bumpers help keep kids in their lane as they slide. The middle sprinkler sprays in two directions to soak both lanes. You can also connect more than one slide end to end for an even longer run.
How to set it up
Pick a flat lawn clear of sticks, rocks and sprinkler heads. Unroll the slide, inflate the bumpers and pin the slide down with the six ground stakes. Wet the surface, hook up your garden hose, and adjust the sprinkler angle and height until both lanes stay wet.
Have kids slide feet first or belly first on the boards, and keep an adult nearby. When the day ends, drain the water and let the slide dry in the sun before you roll it up. A dry slide stores well in a bin in the garage.
The double lane water slide works for birthday parties, family reunions and lazy summer weekends. Kids and adults can both take a turn.
Move the slide to a new patch of lawn every few days to give the grass a break. Fill a bucket with water near the end of the slide so kids can splash after each run, and set out towels on a chair for when they get cold.
