How kids use the detective kit
The storybook sets up each case and walks your child through the forensic steps. First, kids gather evidence: they dust a glass or a doorknob with fingerprint powder and lift a print. Next, they compare footprints and tire tracks to figure out who passed by. Each finding goes into the crime scene notepad, just like a real case file.
Secret messages add another layer. Write a note in disappearing ink, and hand it to a friend. Kids also decipher top-secret codes, which sharpens observation and logic.
Once the practice cases are solved, the tools keep working. Siblings can stage a mystery for each other, or a whole birthday party can split into detective teams. Parents can join as suspects, hide clues around the house and let young detectives question each witness before they name the culprit. The kit turns a rainy afternoon into a hands-on science lesson about how investigators use evidence to answer questions.
