The Migargle wooden marble run lets kids ages 4 to 8 build a track maze and send glass marbles racing through it. The 80-piece set combines 70 wooden blocks and tracks with 10 marbles. Kids follow the manual or design their own runs from scratch.

How kids build a run
The cube blocks have slanted holes and channels, and the tracks connect between them. Drop a marble at the top and gravity carries it down through each piece. If it stalls, kids adjust the angle and try again.
Following the step-by-step designs teaches the basics. After that, children can invent new mazes, which exercises spatial reasoning, critical thinking and fine motor skills. Siblings and friends can build together, practicing teamwork and patience while they wait to watch the marbles fly.
Each attempt teaches a little about cause and effect. A 60-piece set is also offered.
