How the play works
Push the ambulance along the floor and the friction motor keeps it rolling with a realistic engine noise. Press one button and the rear door swings open. Press another and the wheelchair rolls out on its own. Push down the X-ray machine and the side door clicks open, so a child can load Robin or the patient inside. The figures lift out, the stretcher lifts out, and the wheelchair pushes along by hand.
Every action has a button or a push, which is the right level of cause and effect for a one or two year old. Older preschoolers build longer stories around it, sending the crew out on calls and bringing the patient back. The figures go in the dishwasher after a sticky afternoon, and the ambulance wipes clean with a cloth.
WOW makes this set without PVC or toxic paint and skips small parts, so the youngest child in the house can play alongside an older sibling. The friction motor means the fun lasts as long as the pushing does.
