XL Hard-Bottom Dog Car Seat Extender for Trucks & SUVs – Waterproof Rear Seat Hammock for Large Dogs

Give large dogs more room to travel comfortably with an XL hard-bottom dog car seat extender that transforms the rear seat and footwell into an expanded resting area. Designed for full-size pickup trucks and large SUVs, this reinforced dog hammock helps create additional space for dogs to stand, reposition, stretch out, and settle during everyday drives and longer road trips.

Unlike traditional soft dog hammocks that can sag into the rear footwell, this extender features a reinforced multi-panel hard bottom designed to provide a more supportive surface. Its expanded platform offers up to 45% more back-seat space, making it a practical option for large breeds, families traveling with multiple dogs, and owners who need additional room for their pets.

Constructed with durable 600D Oxford fabric, alloy components, and a waterproof coating, the cover helps protect your vehicle's interior from pet hair, muddy paws, dirt, scratches, and everyday messes. Adjustable straps and side attachments help secure the platform, while a bone-shaped mesh window promotes airflow and visibility between the front and rear seating areas.

Whether you're heading out for a camping trip, visiting the veterinarian, towing your trailer, or simply running errands, this XL dog seat extender helps make your vehicle more accommodating for your canine passengers.

Key Features

45% More Space for Dogs

Extends the usable rear seating area into the footwell, giving large dogs and multiple pets more room to stretch, turn, and rest comfortably.

Reinforced Hard-Bottom Support

The multi-panel base is rated for up to 600 lb of distributed weight, helping reduce sagging into the footwell compared with conventional soft hammocks.

Designed for Full-Size Trucks & SUVs

The XL configuration is intended for spacious rear cabins, including full-size pickup trucks, Crew Cab models, and large SUVs with bench-style rear seats.

Waterproof Seat Protection

Heavy-duty 600D Oxford fabric with a waterproof coating helps protect rear upholstery against moisture, dirt, muddy paws, pet hair, and everyday spills.

Fuller Interior Coverage

The extended design helps shield rear seats, front seat backs, and door-side areas from scratches, dirt, and pet-related messes.

Mesh Viewing Window

The bone-shaped mesh panel encourages airflow and allows pets to see toward the front of the vehicle, helping them feel less isolated during travel.

Adjustable Installation

Headrest straps and side attachments help secure the extender. Removable support panels make storage and deeper cleaning more convenient.

Sizing & Compatibility

The XL size is intended for full-size trucks and large SUVs. Before ordering, measure your rear-seat width, seat depth, headrest arrangement, and available anchor points to ensure a suitable fit.

Important: The 600 lb rating refers to the advertised platform support capacity, not a vehicle crash-safety rating. Secure your pets using appropriate vehicle-compatible restraints, and never rely on the seat extender alone to protect pets during sudden stops or collisions.
