Why rubberized paint helps beginners
A kendama ball tends to bounce off an uncoated surface when your timing is a little off. Yomega coats both the tam and the ken in rubberized paint, so the ball settles into the cups instead of skipping out. That grip also helps on the blunted point when you try to spike the ball. You get more successful catches early on, which keeps new players practicing.
The packaging shows every catching zone, so you can see where the ball can land before you start. Use it as a map while you learn each catching zone.
Tricks to work toward
Start with simple catches: hold the ken, pull the ball up with a small knee bend and land it in a cup. Move on to the other cups, then try throws between cups. Once those feel steady, aim for a spike on the point or a stall, where you balance the ball on an edge.
Kendama rewards short, frequent sessions, and you can make up your own tricks once the traditional ones feel easy. Kids can challenge each other to a set list of tricks and keep score. Pick a color from six shades so each player in the family can tell their kendama apart.

- Returns are only available for US orders. International orders are final sale.

- Jewelry and watches are not returnable.
