Zion Judaica wood Hanukkah dreidels come ten to a pack, so every guest at the table gets a top of their own. Each natural wood dreidel stands 1.75 inches tall and carries the four Hebrew letters with English transliteration, plus a printed guide for families new to the game.
Design and lettering
The four sides show Nun, Gimmel, Hey and Shin in Hebrew, with the English spelling beside each letter so children can read along. Together the letters stand for Ness Gadol Haya Sham, a great miracle happened there. You twirl the stem, and the letter facing up when the top falls tells a player whether to take from the pot, add to it or pass.
Each top is sanded to a smooth finish that feels good between the fingers. At 0.75 inch wide and light in weight, a dreidel spins well on a tablecloth or a bare wooden table. Pick the 10 pack for a family night, or the 100 pack for a classroom, a synagogue party or a community event.

Playing and storing
Give each player an equal share of gelt, coins or candy before the first spin. Take turns around the table and follow the guide for each letter. Younger kids often need a few practice twirls before the top stays up; let them try on a hard surface first.
After the holiday, wipe the tops with a dry cloth and store them in a box with your menorah candles. Wood stays in good shape for years when you keep it dry and away from heat. A pack of Hanukkah dreidels also fits in a gift bag for teachers, cousins or friends who host latke night.
