GOTS stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard. It's one of the most rigorous organic textile certifications in the world, developed by leading standard setters to define worldwide-recognized requirements for organic textiles. Unlike a lot of "eco" labels that only look at one part of the process, GOTS certification follows a garment through its entire life, from the harvesting of raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, all the way to labeling on the finished product.
