GOTS stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard. It's one of the most rigorous organic textile certifications in the world, and it was developed by leading standard setters to define worldwide-recognized requirements for organic textiles. Unlike a lot of "eco" labels that only look at one part of the process, GOTS certification follows a garment through its entire life, from the harvesting of raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing, all the way to labeling on the finished product.
