Om Jai Jagdish Hare is an Aarti recited by many Hindus across the world. Whether its recitation stems from a religious belief or whether it comes from a spiritual place, this Aarti can serve as a calming song for adults and children alike.
However, many of us who enjoy the Aarti may not realize what the words mean. This Aarti leaflet was inspired by the desire to be able to sing the Aarti each morning with my daughters and for all of us to also be able to understand its meaning.
The Hindi words to Ohm Jai Jagdish Hare are included as an English transliteration. A translation for each line of the aarti is included immediately beneath each verse. Use this as a tool to learn the aarti, sing it to your little ones, and find meaning in its words.
