In the northwest of England, even north of Leeds, lies the Lakes District, famous for it lakes, forests and mountains. It is a place where poets such as Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter, and John Ruskin were so inspired to write poems and stories. Even the county name, Cumbria, sounds like it came from a tale of a magical place where knights, kings, and queens lived. This stunning landscape image of a still stream in a Lake District forest with a majestic mature Red Deer Stag, Cervus Elaphus, among the trees, embodies the true beauty of this region. The image lends itself as a puzzle because of the different light, texture and shapes of the trees that dominate the image. The puzzle will likely begin with the edges but the shape and texture of the stag should help to focus the construction around that image as well as the large tree on the right of the image.
